Brooke Boutilier
Meet me, Brooke.
Hi LIFESquad! My name is Brooke Larocque and I can’t wait to spin with you here at LIFECycle.
To get to know me better, let me tell you a bit about myself. I was born and raised here in Saskatoon and spent my childhood dancing. I did every type of dance you can think of, and the studio was my second home. After graduating high school, I changed my focus from dancing to teaching ballet. During this time, I also attended the University of Regina/Saskatchewan Polytechnic to obtain my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Since graduation, I have been working at the Children’s Hospital on the maternity unit. For all you soon to be parents, ask me anything as I love what I do, and enjoy sharing the passion I have for my career!
After my second year of nursing school, I decided to take a step back from dance as I found it challenging to balance instructing and my studies. I was looking for a hobby that would keep me active and provide me with a break from studying. This was when I found LIFECycle, and I am so thankful that I did. I started spinning at LIFECycle in May of 2021 and instantly fell in love. I loved everything about it, the music, the people, and the challenge of clipping in my shoes. Seriously, for all you new spinners, this is something I struggled with for months. When LIFECycle began accepting applications for new instructors, I just knew I had to apply. And that brings us to where I am now!
I can’t wait to spin with the LIFECycle squad! My goal for every class is to share the love and passion I have for spin with all of you. I hope to make everyone feel supported and seen in my class. When attending one of my classes, you can anticipate slow and heavy jog tracks, a good climb that has us dancing off that saddle, and of course a classic throwback from the 80’s or 90’s.
